A missional disciple is someone who wakes up every day understanding they are on mission with God right where they are. Your neighborhood, your workplace, and the coffee shop you stop at every morning are your mission fields. The two keys are intentionality and availability. Live it out loud and use words, because faith comes by hearing.
Accountability means having people in your life who love you enough to tell you the truth. The kind of people who notice when you’re drifting and ask the hard questions because they’re invested in who you’re becoming.
Jesus commanded us to “go make disciples.” A disciple is someone being shaped to look like Jesus who turns around and does the same for someone else. Paul laid out the blueprint in 2 Timothy 2:2: what you’ve received, pass on to faithful people who will pass it on to others. The gospel came to you because it was always heading somewhere else.
God designed us for deeply connected, honest, accountable community. The early church didn’t just attend a weekly service; they carried each other’s burdens, enjoyed each other, confessed to one another, and showed up when things fell apart.
Scripture is what holds everything together. It’s the foundation that makes all the other MARCS possible. The goal is simple: get into the Word until the Word gets into you. That means reading it daily, journaling through it, and memorizing it. When you build that habit, you stop just reading about God and start actually hearing from Him.
