Food for Families is our annual Thanksgiving opportunity for Long Hollow to be a force for good in our community.
As an extension of End Hunger in Sumner, food-filled bags will be delivered to our local schools and homes of Sumner County students who deal with food insecurity. We will also provide bags to our local missions partners to provide food through their programs for families in need. Last year, we were able to serve 1,600+ families in Sumner County and the surrounding area. We’d love to help even more people this year!
How You Can Help
There are several ways you can participate in Food for Families!
Fill a bag: Beginning October 12, pick up a bag at any of the main entrances on campus and shop for needed items (lists will be attached). Look for the Food for Families bins on campus or the trailer to drop off the filled bags at Gallatin and Hendersonville on Sunday, November 2, 9, and 16.
Purchase a bag: If you attend online or are unable to shop for a bag, we would still love for you to participate! Gifts can be given in $30 increments (the estimated cost of a complete bag).
Volunteer to deliver bags: We need volunteers to deliver bags to our local schools and missions partners at 10AM on Friday, November 21, and homes of Sumner County students at 10AM on Saturday, November 22. Sign up to help us deliver bags on your preferred day.

1 $10 Kroger gift card for turkey (please place this in an envelope in the bag)
