Spring is a season of renewal and hope. Easter reminds us that death is defeated and we celebrate the freedom that comes with following Jesus. It’s also a time when we lock arms as a church family to give toward the work we can only accomplish together.
When you give to this year’s Spring Offering, you’re not just helping us cover all the ongoing ministry at Long Hollow, but we’re taking a tangible step to make this vision a reality in three critical areas.
Our church goal this spring is $1.1 million, and our family goal is $700. Whether you’re able to give less or potentially much more, we ask that you prayerfully consider how God is calling you to participate. Use the button below or text GIVE to 98173.
Sumner County schools have identified over 300 students who are currently homeless or housing insecure. That often means those students don’t know if they’ll get to eat while away from school. The mission of End Hunger in Sumner begins with aiming to eliminate food insecurities faced by students and provide biblical life coaching assistance to their families. We’ll begin collecting food this spring through Love Our City, but the first step to getting food to the students is to build and supply new meal lockers in Sumner County middle and high schools. Your gift to the spring offering will help accomplish this big first step and love our neighbors where we live, work, and play.
Over three billion people have never heard the name of Jesus and have no Bible in their language. The goal through our spring offering is to begin the sponsorship of one of the 850 people groups who have no Bible in their language. We plan to continue to sponsor the entire New Testament for this group over the next few years and see it through together as a church family. The New Testament has been impactful for so many of us these first months of 2025, and we want to share that with others who need to hear of the life-changing message of the Gospel.
We believe the light of the Gospel shines the brightest in some of the darkest places. God has opened incredible doors for us to come alongside men and women at a point in their lives when they need it the most. When you give this spring, you will help us launch services for inmates in our local jail, where they can worship together weekly as part of the Long Hollow family. Watching through an app on an iPad is good. Worshiping with your brothers or sisters in Christ is how the church is meant to gather.
