Kayla Whittaker serves in Sofia, a historic city surrounded by mountains and the capital of Bulgaria. She serves children in social homes (orphanages) and in minority communities of the Roma (gypsy) people, who are often marginalized and impoverished. Kayla connects with people through discipleship and various service opportunities within the places she serves.

Kayla faces challenges of cultural differences as well as the monumental task of ministering in a spiritually void area. (Only 3% or less of European populations say they have a relationship with Christ.) Trying to break down barriers and minister to a minority population is difficult, and even further illustrates the need for unity in the body of Christ.

Please pray for:

• The people of Bulgaria to have softened hearts & openness to the Gospel
• The orphans and Roma people Kayla works with to see the Lord’s desire for a relationship with them
• The Lord’s guidance and power to work through Kayla to fulfill His will
• New friends and mission partners
