Film Specialist

We are seeking applicants for a Film Specialist position. This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits. Key responsibilities will include producing, shooting, directing, and editing videos for our Sunday services and ministry departments. The type of videos you’ll create will range from event promos, story pieces, cinematic bumpers, documentaries, music videos, short films and more. Check out some of our work on our Vimeo page.

  • Passionate about the art and craft of film and storytelling.
  • Experience in filmmaking, including lighting, lensing, shot composition, direction of talent, and audio production.

LH Kids Ministry Assistant

We are seeking applicants for a highly technical Ministry Assistant for our Children’s Ministry. Key responsibilities will include data management, maintaining and overseeing the internal systems (Rock and Planning Center) used to track, train and schedule our volunteer base. This is a full time, non-exempt position, with benefits that include medical insurance, vacation and holidays. This position is required to work a 40 hour week that includes Sundays during worship services and Wednesday evenings.

Experience in special education, early intervention, inclusive ministry environments, and curriculum modification are a must. This is a part time position with the possibility to work remotely. LH Kids Preschool Ministry Assistant

This position supports all ministry efforts associated with the Preschool Ministry at the Hendersonville campus. This is a full-time non-exempt position (40 hours/week).

Duties & Responsibilities  
  • Assists with all the operations and logistics for preschool ministry on Sundays & Wednesdays including lesson preparation, classroom setup, resource room organization, ordering supplies, and administrative tasks 
  • Assists in the printing, preparation, and distribution of LH Kids curriculum as directed by supervisor 
  • Assists in the planning, execution, and coordination of LH Kids events including, but not limited to: assisting with budget, logistics, scheduling, details, registration, communication with vendors, advertisement, and follow-up
  • Must work Sundays during worship services and Wednesday nights 
  • Assists the Preschool Minister and Childhood Director as needed and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
  • Manages Service U for all LH Kids ministry including weekly services and special events 
  • Sends birthday cards to all preschool children + volunteers 
  • Manages the LH Kids preschool attendance report and records in Rock, follows up with families, makes phone calls, and keeps accurate records in church database 
  • Assists with volunteer recruitment, on-boarding, leadership development, and appreciation on a consistent basis
  • Assists Preschool Minister in the weekly scheduling + communication with preschool volunteers, including but not limited to scheduling volunteers in Planning Center, uploading lessons to Planning Center
  • Coordinates all paid childcare for the church including but not limited to:
    + Coordinate + communicate with ministry teams within the church to meet childcare needs & arrange budget
    + Recruit, hire, train, and lead a team of 10-20+ childcare workers
    + Manage Planning Center Online to schedule and coordinate childcare workers for events
    + Payroll: enter time sheet adjustments, approve time, and submit to Financial Office for processing
    + Invest in employees and foster a healthy work environment and team spirt with clear communication and ongoing professional development 
  • Assists with financial tasks such as check requests, communicating with vendors about estimates, etc. 
  • Organizes the LH Kids preschool check-in and volunteer room to ensure top quality experiences and meet organizational needs 
  • Assists with the coordination of Child Dedication events including the registration, set-up, preparation, and follow up 
  • Assists Preschool Minister with the Expectant Parent Ministry including executing ministry vision, registration, hospital/home visits, coordination with other ministry teams within the church, parent follow-up, and accurate record keeping 
  • Meet with and actively participate in all LH Kids team meetings, planning retreats, and debriefs

LH Kids Children’s Minister (Events & Outreach)

This position supports all ministry efforts associated with LH Kids at the Hendersonville Campus. This is a full-time exempt position (40+ hours/week).

Duties & Responsibilities 
  • Meet with the Childhood Director to support and carry out the vision of LH Kids at the Hendersonville campus, specifically pertaining to ministry events and outreach including but not limited to: VBS, summer camp, family serve initiatives, parents night out for families with special needs, child dedication events, school partnerships and outreach events 
  • This role is the point person for all details and logistics of LH Kids events including, but not limited to:
    + Brainstorming new and creative ways to engage families in our community with the Gospel
    + Budget planning + management for events and outreach
    + Volunteer recruitment, development, and appreciation for ministry events
    + Logistics: event planning, event registration, promotion, vendor contacts
    + Communication with team members, fellow staff members, and outside groups
    + Prioritize, communicate, and manage tasks so that all event projects are completed with excellence and within the given timeline
    + Evaluation and debrief of events to maintain excellence and meet desired goals 
  • Work alongside the missions department to develop a strategy that equips LH Kids families and children to serve their community, raise awareness of global missions work, and implement school partnerships
    + Develop monthly missions focus in tandem with the LH Kids Discipleship in the Home strategy 
  • Work alongside our digital pastor and the LH Kids team to create meaningful family discipleship resources for both our online church community and local church community
    + Maintain a positive, encouraging presence on social media to engage parents and communicate about upcoming events and opportunities 
  • Enthusiastically lead + teach the Bible to LH Kids large group and/or small group environments on Sundays and Wednesdays and coach others to do the same 
  • Lead LH Kids Baptism Classes when assigned
    + Must be comfortable and skilled at having salvation and baptism conversations with children and parents 
  • Collaborate with the LH Kids team to create engaging and Gospel-centered mid-week programming. This may include:
    + The planning and development of curriculum or lessons
    + Physical set up of Wednesday night environments
    + Recruitment, development, coaching, and retention of high quality leaders 
  • Work alongside the LH Kids team to strategically and consistently recruit, develop, and retain quality leaders in all areas of LH Kids 
  • Have a relational and visible presence at all LH Kids events, Sunday mornings, and Wednesday night services to effectively minister to children, volunteers, and parents

Long Hollow Weekday Preschool Teacher

Long Hollow Weekday Preschool, our part-time Mother’s Day Out Program, is hiring experienced preschool teachers for both the Gallatin and Hendersonville locations. This is a part time position from August - May.

Teachers must agree to abstain from drugs and alcohol during their time of employment. Each class teacher is responsible for their classroom’s arrangement and appearance, building relationships with the children and their parents, and following all our classroom guidelines.
