An avid outdoorsman, Mike enjoys camping, hiking, hunting and more. His favorite verse is Proverbs 27:17
Springfield Campus Pastor
Jeff Armstrong joined Long Hollow’s staff in 2011 in order to help plan, grow, and launch the Springfield campus. Jeff is dedicated to building relationships in the community and getting people connected in a Bible-based environment where they can find Jesus.
With his roots in Texas, Jeff is a fan of the Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, and the infamous Whataburger restaurant! One of his life scriptures is Ephesians 3:20, which encourages him that Christ is working in and through us.
Madison Worship Minister
Brad joined the Long Hollow Creative Team in 2014 as the Springfield Campus Worship Minister, and transitioned to the Madison Campus in the summer of 2015. Ask him why he’s committed to the ministry of the Gospel & Brad will reply, “The Gospel has set me free! I just want to be a vessel to help others be set free, too!”
Brad loves to grill out, write songs, and spend time with his wife, Rebekah. He also enjoys listening to Hillsong UNITED, Counting Crows, and reading A.W. Tozer and Francis Chan. Proverbs 16:3 is Brad’s favorite verse and his goal for each day.
Membership & Recovery Pastor
In December of 2008, Long Hollow was happy to welcome Henry Bieber to our staff. Henry oversees the LifeWorks Counseling Center, the marriage/relationship ministry, the Celebrate Recovery ministry, and meets regularly with people to administer care and counseling.
Some of Henry’s favorites include author C.S. Lewis, singer-songwriter Michael Card, the movie “The Kid”, and a day of mountain biking. Philippians 2:3-11 is a favorite passage of his because it expresses the great depths of Christ’s love for us.
Springfield Student Minister
Starting out as a summer intern, Andrew joined the student ministry staff at Long Hollow in 2010. As a native of this area, Andrew is constantly building relationships and partnering with families to spread the Gospel.
Andrew is energetic, always moving, and fun to be around. In his free time he can be found building items for his home, painting, fixing cars, and exploring new places with his wife. His favorite burger is the one served at The Depot in Springfield.
With the addition of the new student building in 2012, as well as an ever-expanding outreach through ministry programs, Jeremy Brown joined Long Hollow’s staff to help facilitate the various audio and production needs.
Jeremy enjoys spending time in the recording studio, going out to the lake with his wife, chasing his dogs through the backyard, cheering for the Titans, and vacationing to Disney. He is constantly reminded by Christ’s sacrifice through Philippians 2.
Middle School Associate
Zach joined our staff in February of 2015 as the Middle School Associate. His desire is to challenge, equip, and lead the next generation in their walk with Jesus.
Between taking freeze pops to school practices and going to middle school basketball games, Zach can be found cheering on the Louisville Cardinals or studying up on his favorite super heroes. His favorite verse is John 3:30.
Middle School Associate
Taylor Carpenter has been pouring into the lives of middle school girls since her days as an intern. Taylor is passionate about sharing the name of Jesus with young girls and pointing them to go deeper in their relationship with a personal Savior.
Give Taylor a taco, and she’s a happy girl. She loves to be outdoors or doing anything crafty. Taylor cites Romans 8:38-39 as a daily reminder that she cannot be seperated from the love of the Father.
Financial Resources Manager
With an annual budget well over 10 million dollars, Long Hollow is in constant need of someone to supervise all financial activity. Since August of 2004, Janet Chambers has provided this leadership and professional standard of excellence.
At home, Janet enjoys spending time with her family, watching the Nashville Predators, and cites Rocky Road as her favorite ice cream. In her spiritual walk, Janet says that Phillipians 4:13 has always given her hope.
Derek Clayton has been on Long Hollow’s staff since 2011 and is a member of our Financial Team.
Derek is one of those guys that finds joy in keeping things organized: people, numbers, events, products, whatever it is! However, despite this orderly passion, Derek insists that God’s plan for his life (as written Jeremiah 29:11) is vastly better than his!
In June of 2003, Todd Cox joined Long Hollow’s staff to assist with all the financial and facility needs of Long Hollow. Since then, he has transitioned to become the Men’s Pastor and to oversee all of the on-campus small groups, bible studies, and other fellowship opportunities.
Some of Todd’s favorites include the movie “King Arthur”, author John Maxwell, watching sports of any kind, and rooting for the University of Kentucky. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds him that his path was leading to death, but God’s path has proven faithful over and over.
Gallatin Campus Pastor
Not long after the opening of the Gallatin campus (in 2005), Bill Davis joined Long Hollow’s team as the Gallatin campus pastor. Bill is someone who loves to connect with people, loves to shepherd a congregation, and see life change from preschool to senior age.
Bill is an avid sports fan, especially in his community. It’s not uncommon to see him in the bleachers of a basketball game or on the sidelines of a softball field. He is also a big fan of butter-pecan ice cream from Baskin Robbins!
Gallatin Student Pastor
Jerry joined our staff as the Student Pastor at our Gallatin Campus in late 2014. His passion to reach a lost and broken world make him the perfect person to speak into the lives of students every week in the Gallatin area.
When he’s not investing in the lives of students, you can find Jerry fishing, cheering on the Braves, and hunting down a good bowl of pasta. Jerry’s favorite verse is Ephesians 4:1-2 – “As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”
Nate Dooley is committed to seeing students changed by the Gospel. As the leader of our student ministry at all campuses, Nate is in a continuous mode of building relationships, speaking the Truth, and inviting others to a life of victory and hope.
Nate enjoys wrestling with his kids, spending time with his wife, watching “Storage Wars” on TV, or combining all of those activities into one! Nate lives his life by the wisdom of Psalm 19:14, which challenges him to direct every word and thought towards worshipping God.
Member Care Pastor
At the end of 2007, Long Hollow welcomed long-time member Roger Elliott on to the Long Hollow staff. Every week of the year Roger can be found making a profound impact on individuals and families through counseling, charity, comfort, and other means of member care.
Roger often reads Bill Hybels and enjoys fishing in his spare time. He continually turns to Galatians 5:1 which says that Christ’s resurrection has set us free from the shackles of the sin and bondage of this world.
Hillcrest Worship Minister
Ronnie joined our staff in 2014 to serve as the Worship Minister at our Hillcrest Campus. His passion to see people move from death to life in Christ motivates him to devote his life to leading people in worship.
When he’s not enjoying his wife’s homemade asparagus casserole, you can find Ronnie cheering on the Titans, and dominating his fantasy football league. His favorite verses are Lamentations 3:19-24 and Ephesians 2:10.
Madison Student Minister
Adam has served as the Student Minister at our Madison Campus since early 2014. After an encounter with Jesus as a homeless teenager, Adam’s life was radically changed. His passion for the Gospel continues today as he seeks to pour into the lives of Madison students.
When he’s not serving at Long Hollow, you can find Adam rooting for Tennessee, cooking with his wife, and wrestling with his two boys. His favorite verse is Isaiah 60:1 – “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”
Robby has served as Long Hollow’s Senior Pastor since October of 2015. His radical salvation in 2002 and a powerful journey since has led him to a passionate calling of “making disciples who make disciples.”
Robby holds a Ph.D., has written several books, and also provides a wealth of discipleship resources through Replicate Ministries. When he’s not serving the church, you can find Robby working out at the gym, relaxing with his family, or watching UFC and College Football. He and his wife Kandi have two precious young sons, Rig and Ryder.
Long Hollow’s ability to function is fueled by the generous service of our many volunteers. As such, Amber holds a vital role in recruiting, placing, equipping, and encouraging the various volunteer teams. Seeing the impact that a volunteer makes on someone’s life is exciting to her!
Amber loves traveling with her husband or doing anything D.I.Y. She finds comfort in Jeremiah 29:11 and knowing that even though her plans and God’s plans may not always originally align, His are always fulfilling, bright, and best.
Outreach & Relief Minister
Serving as the Outreach and Relief Minister since 2014, Cory Haney oversees all local and global orphan care, anti-trafficking, and outreach efforts. Within these ministries, he is especially passionate about equipping and mobilizing believers to serve outside the church walls for the sake of the Gospel.
Outside of his position at Long Hollow, Cory enjoys spending time with his family, college football, reading, and doing just about anything outdoors. One of his favorite verses is Ephesians 2:4-10.
Hillcrest Student Minister
Danny Hardy joined Long Hollow’s staff in the summer of2014 as a student intern. He now serves as the Hillcrest Student Minister, equipping students in the Hillcrest area with the good news of Jesus.
Danny is an avid sports fan, chicken wing eater, and coffee drinker. He is reminded that with God on our side, we cannot lose through his favorite scripture, Romans 8:31-39.
Starting in 2007, Tyler Hirth has held a versatile role in Long Hollow’s audio/visual development. Currently, Tyler oversees the recruitment and training of production volunteers, designs and oversees A/V technical installations, and technical directs a majority of weekends services and events.
One things that Tyler loves most about working at Long Hollow is the team he gets to work with. He’s a regular listener of Coldplay, an Apple fan boy, and insists that Burger Up! is the best burger in Nashville.
Keeping accurate and honest records of our church’s logistics is a priority with Long Hollow’s integrity and transparency. Since 2012, Calvin has been a part of gathering weekly data, building reports, and keeping the church on track to maximize its impact in the world.
The thing that Calvin says he loves most about his job is that he gets to see how many people are being transformed by the Gospel. In his own life, he said that he was continually inspired by how much truth is in Isaiah 40:8 in so few words.
Since 2013, Paul has served with our Creative Team as the Lighting Specialist. His unique technical gifting, along with his desire to see lives changed, makes him a perfect fit for the Long Hollow team.
When he’s not setting up for the next worship event, you can find Paul working on cars or cheering on the Penguins. A fan of Hillsong and Relient K, his favorite verse is Phillipians 4:13.
Hendersonville Campus Resources Manager
In 2011, Dan became a part of the facilities team at Long Hollow. Much like the rest of the team, Dan’s daily tasks are in constant flux: one day painting, one day plumbing, one day electrician, one day carpenter, one day mechanic.
As much as he is able, Dan loves taking mission trips (especially Haiti) where he can use his gifts and creativity in different environments. He’s also a big fan of working on cars, listening to Prairie Home Companion, and watching the Titans play.
Interim Creative Director
Since 2003, Mike Hurst has been actively leading Long Hollow’s congregation to the throne of Jesus. Mike is not only a worship leader, but a leader of leaders; he is currently using these talents to lead all creative efforts at Long Hollow.
Here are some of the things that generally describe Mike: spending time with his family, camping, rooting for the Chicago Bears, songwriting, and being mistaken for Dierks Bentley. One of his favorite scriptures is Philippians 4:13.
Since 2010, Robert has served in the Pastor’s office as a research specialist. Although the pastor himself is quite organized, Robert helps to maximize Robby’s ministry potential by searching resources, building visuals, facilitating speaking engagements, and much more.
Robert says that the best part of his job is getting to see all that goes into a service which could ultimately change someone’s life and eternity. He and his wife, Ruth Ann, have two daughters.
Formerly an integral part of our Student staff, Juanitrice now serves with our Financial Resources Team.
Juanitrice is an energetic mother of three teenagers who loves to serve in the church, even outside of her position. A lover of encouraging others, Juanitrice’s favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.
Jeff joined Long Hollow’s staff in 2005, originally providing audio support for the Sunday morning services. As time went on, Jeff has helped designed sound systems for every Long Hollow venue, installed systems in Haiti, and provided leadership with our production teams.
Those who know Jeff well know that he is nearly an expert on Disney (particularly their theme parks). One of his favorite scriptures is Galatians 2:20, reminding him that Christ lives within all those who trust in Him.
Students Video Specialist
Chris has been serving with our Student Ministry Creative Team since 2012. His eye for video and passion to communicate to students make him an important part of our Student Ministry efforts.
Chris is an avid fan of tacos and Michigan State University. When he’s not listening to Band of Horses, you can find Chris reading CS Lewis and traveling. His favorite passage of scripture is Psalm 139.
Women's Member Care Minister
Having originally joined Long Hollow’s staff as an administrative assistant, Jennifer Lorance is now a minister to thousands on women in our community. Whether counseling a young girl in her office or visiting the elderly in the hospital, Jennifer is living out Christ’s love in the day to day.
Jennifer is an avid reader of John Piper’s books, a listener of Chris Tomlin’s music, and (of course) a fan of UT football! For her, Phillipians 1:21 says it all: to live is Christ, to die is gain!
Parker Manuel joined the Long Hollow staff in the Fall of 2012. Parker is a catalyst for Disciple-Making Movements by mobilizing Long Hollow members and believers within the local church across the nation. Witnessing the rapid multiplication of disciples, he is passionate about continuing to train and coach obedient believers to reach the lost and unengaged until the Great Commission is complete.
Parker is continuously meeting with global partners and traveling the world, but in his spare time he enjoys creating and building with his wife and family. He is inspired by Luke 9:23 to live for the Kingdom through humility, sacrifice, and a willingness to follow Christ.
Hillcrest Campus Pastor
Rusty joined our staff in 2014 as the Pastor or our Hillcrest Campus. He’s passionate about reaching his community and wants everyone he encounters to experience the joy of knowing Jesus.
A passionate fan of the Florida Gators, Rusty also enjoys Chip Ingram books and a good lasagna. His favorite verse is Matthew 6:33: “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
High School Minister
After pursuing baseball, business management, and the family business, God led Wil down a different path. In addition to supporting the whole student ministry outreach, Wil specifically focuses on meeting, inspiring, and encouraging high school students in Hendersonville.
Wil is married to Amy, is an avid Yankees fan, and loves calling the Arkansas Hogs on Saturdays. He’s passionate about doing life with students and sharing Jesus with them.
In the spring of 2009, David Morrow joined Long Hollow’s staff as the Preschool Pastor. With hundreds upon hundreds of infants and young children at Long Hollow every week, David is critical to providing a safe, fun, and Christ-honoring environment for our youngest.
David is a fan of films like Hunt for Red October, likes to go fishing, and enjoys a slice of great pizza. He’s encouraged by 1 Peter 5:7 because it tells him that God is in control.
A staff member since 2007, Eric currently serves all campuses as the Communication Director. Beyond leading our technology, design, and marketing efforts, Eric leads our team to communicate Long Hollow’s message and vision to the community.
Eric’s lively personality combines all the favorable aspects of being a nerd, entrepreneur, and family man. On a deeper level, Eric celebrates the truth of 1 Corinthians 15:54-55, that Christ has destroyed death in every sense for those who trust in Him.
Director of Resources
Tony Pasley makes sure that Long Hollow – with multiple buildings, hundreds of events each year, and various maintenance/cleaning staff – is always a safe, clean, and fiscally-responsible environment. He has been on staff since 2010.
Tony is someone who likes to see others succeed, using his engineering background to build those possibilities. One of his favorite verses is Proverbs 9:10, which reminds him that true wisdom comes from the Lord.
Julianne Peace joined our team early in 2015 with a love of storytelling and a passion for the local church. She enables the various ministries to get their messages heard through as many mediums as there are available.
As a former Knoxvillian, Julianne bleeds orange for the Tennessee Volunteers. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and a good guacamole. Esther 4:14 is her favorite reminder to seize the opportunities God gives us to love people and make Him known constantly.
Gallatin Preschool & Children's Pastor
Andy joined our Gallatin Campus staff in the Fall of 2014. His passion to see children and their families become fully-devoted followers of Christ is the driving force behind his position at Long Hollow.
When he’s not watching superhero movies, you can find Andy cheering on the Vols and spending time with his family. His favorite passage of scripture is Romans 8:38-39.
In February 2015, Joe Quilty joined the Long Hollow team to oversee many of the resources we use weekly. He provides our church with a stellar guest experience and welcoming environments by overseeing logistics of massive events all the way down to making sure the coffee is hot on Sunday mornings.
When he’s not serving in every way he can, he’s either hiking, cooking, filling the house with family or catching the LA Dodgers game. His favorite scripture is Ephesians 2:8-10.
Jordan began leading music at the Hendersonville campus in 2009 (as a volunteer!) and officially joined the staff in 2011.
He’s been a part of leading the adults, the students, new satellite campuses, church plants, and various other ministries and events at Long Hollow.
Interim Assistant Creative Director
Brandon has led creative efforts with our Student Ministry since 2014, and recently joined the creative team in 2015. His love for students and passion for seeing people changed by the Gospel is evident in every worship service.
When he’s not serving Long Hollow, you can find Brandon enjoying chicken and waffles or playing racquet ball. His favorite verse is Colossians 3:1.

Shane Sisk is currently one of the High School Pastors at Long Hollow, specifically ministering to students in 9th and 10th grade. Having joined the staff in Fall of 2008, Shane is passionate about seeing students understand the heart of the Gospel and experience spiritual growth.
One of Shane’s foremost attributes is his ability to encourage those around him. He loves spending time playing with kids and is a fan of the Florida Gators. Romans 8 continues to remind him of God’s love and victory in his life.
Satellite Campus Resources Manager
Mark has served with our facilities team since 2005. Mark oversees projects and tasks that enable our satellite campuses to run smoothly and more effectively reach the communities around them.
Mark is married to Anne and loves spending time with his family. When he’s not hard at work at Long Hollow, Mark can be found fixing up old cars (especially 1950s and 1060s Cheverolets).
Middle School Pastor
In the fall of 2003 John Steen became the Middle School Pastor at Long Hollow. Put simply, John loves to spend time with students having fun and telling them that God loves them.
As with all our ministers, John prefers to spend as much time as he can with his family. However, unlike our other ministers, John is an Auburn football fan! In addition, his favorite place to go grab a burger is at Five Guys.
In 1998, Lance Taylor joined Long Hollow’s staff as the new youth minister. Now, as the executive pastor, Lance oversees staff coordination, church strategy development, and campus development.
One of things that Lance enjoys most in his job is being able to help other staff members discern and pursue God’s will for them and their ministry. Lance’s life verse has always been Romans 4:20-21, which continues to inspire him.
Chrissy Toth joined the staff as our Missions Specialist in 2011. As she focuses on the personal care and encouragement of our missionaries, she also equips and coaches future missionaries. During the sending process, she coordinates all Long Hollow mission trips from locations to leaders. Overall, whether it’s across town or across the globe, short term or long term, Chrissy is passionate about clearing the way for believers to follow God’s call to obedience!
As a servant of God, she continually seeks to please Him alone, found in her favorite verse Galatians 1:10. Outside of her position at Long Hollow, Chrissy can be found exploring area restaurants and cheering for Michigan State with her family.
Hendersonville Worship Pastor
In 2010, Gerald Trottman was called to serve as the new worship pastor at Long Hollow. He brought with him his Music Conservatory training, years of experience playing/arranging/leading in New York, and a heart to see lives changed by the Gospel.
Gerald is a natural leader and entrepreneur. Whether it’s teaching songwriting to underprivileged students on the weekends or producing albums of original music, Gerald brings focus and creativity to his work and relationships.
One of the defining characteristics of the Hendersonville campus is getting to hear the voice of Brooke Voland leading our church in worship. Since 2010, Brooke has been a staffed musician as well as a regular contributor to Long Hollow’s overall creative ministry.
As one would expect, Brooke enjoys a wide variety of music. However, one of her favorite groups has always been the Everly Brothers (also her relatives!). Daily, she finds comfort in God’s purpose for her life, as written in Psalm 89:1.
Satellite Production Specialist
As Long Hollow continues to launch satellite campuses, the need for skilled supervision in audio and visual areas continues to increase. Starting in 2011, Tim has provided this much-needed leadership and expertise to make our satellite campus worship experiences the best they can be.
When he’s not at Long Hollow, Tim is typically found fixing up a motorcycle or car. His favorite burger joint is Gabby’s (in Nashville) and he prefers the music of classic crime. Proverbs 16:9 is always a good reminder to him that God is in control.
Joining the Long Hollow team in early 2015, Dixie serves in our Preschool Ministry in Hendersonville. Her love for children makes her a great fit for telling them weekly about God’s love and creating resources for the whole family!
A fan of the TCM channel and Tex-Mex, Dixie can often be found cooking and baking for her husband and son and watching movies. Her favorite verse is Psalm 25:4-5, which reminds her that God guides her steps.
Madison Campus Pastor
Joshua transitioned to the role of campus pastor in November of 2014 after serving as the first Long Hollow Madison Worship Minister. At the heart of Joshua’s life is a desire to see broken people being changed by the Gospel.
Joshua enjoys authors like Brennan Manning, Matt Chandler, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and N.T. Wright. In his spare time he likes going to concerts, reading, soccer, playing piano, learning, developing as a leader, and spending time with his family.
In early 2006, Julie Woodruff became the Women’s Minister at Long Hollow. Each week she meets with women, leads bible studies, coordinates events, visits homes and hospitals, and encourages women to live in God’s victory.
Julie is a regular reader of John Piper and A.W. Tozer, enjoys the music of Kari Jobe, and would prefer a great Mexican dish over any other! Julie is also keen on travelling and on game day, she can be found rooting for either the UT Vols or LSU Tigers.
After years of serving Long Hollow in a freelance capacity, Matt joined our Communication Team in 2014 as the Design Specialist. His passion for art and critical eye is responsible for much of the visual communication our community enjoys every weekend.
When he’s not creating in Photoshop, Matt can be found traveling, checking out the local music scene, and enjoying a good enchilada. His favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 13.
Brian Zimmerman’s first role at Long Hollow was an intern for the student ministry, helping to facilitate various media needs. Then, in 2011, his passion for video producing led him to join the video team, where he now creates custom content for weekly services and events.
From video styles to personal preference, Brian is fairly biased towards the “retro throwback” culture. He likes 80′s-90′s videogame systems, the band “M83″, and knows a lot about various film trilogies of that era.
