<h3><a href="https://longhollow.com/guys-weekend-2025-a-weekend-retreat-for-middle-school-and-high-school-guys" target="_blank">Guys' Weekend</a></h3>
Guys’ Weekend will create a space where Middle School and High School guys can unplug from everyday life and refocus on what is truly important. Guys will be challenged to learn more about and focus on spiritual disciplines in their own lives. Throughout the retreat at <a href="https://valleyviewcamp.com/" target="_blank">Valley View Camp</a> in Greenbrier, Tennessee, on Friday, October 17 - Sunday, October 19, 2025, they’ll experience large group worship, intentional breakouts, and fun activities.

<h3><a href="https://longhollow.com/girls-weekend-2025-a-weekend-retreat-for-middle-school-and-high-school-girls" target="_blank">Girls' Weekend</a></h3>

Girls’ Weekend will create a space where Middle and High School girls can unplug from everyday life and refocus on what is truly important. By retreating to <a href="https://gocrossings.org/locations/jonathan-creek/" target="_blank">Jonathan Creek</a> near Paducah, Kentucky, on Friday, October 17 - Sunday, October 19, we’ll create space to focus on our theme, Found and Free. Throughout the weekend, girls will experience large group worship, creative breakouts, and fun activities. Space is limited, so sign up soon!

LH Students Events

Wednesday nights are the perfect place for students in grades 6-12 to experience Long Hollow for the first time and have the opportunity to continuously grow in their faith. It’s an environment where all students are welcome and valued, allowing them to have fun with friends, meet new people, invite others to join, worship together, and hear truth from God’s Word. It’s the perfect time for students to check out the Student Ministry for the first time.

Beginning April 9, 2025: Middle School and High School meet together in the <a href="https://rock.longhollow.com/Content/Gallatin-Exterior-Map.pdf" target="_blank">Student Building</a> for three weeks and in the Worship Center the fourth week. 
6:20PM Doors open 
6:30PM Services begin

<h3>Student Sensory Room - <a href="https://longhollow.com/visit-hendersonville" target="_blank">Hendersonville</a></h3>
Students in grades 6 - 12 with special needs who attend the CDC classroom at school and/or benefit from less noise, fewer people, and/or a shorter/simplified lesson are invited to register to attend our Student Sensory Room.

Check in begins at 6:20PM. Programming begins at 6:30 and pick up is at 7:30PM. 

Weekly meetings follow the LH Student schedule.

Wednesday Nights - Midweek Student Service

As a student ministry, our goal on Sunday mornings is to not only gather together in community through Life Groups, but also teach students how to be obedient Christ followers. Throughout the Bible, there is a theme of God calling His people to obedience through the reading, studying, and practice of His Word. James 1:22 says, "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only," meaning it does the believer no good to merely read God's commands without putting them into practice. Life Groups is a place where students not only learn to study Scripture, but practice it in their lives. 

Life Groups are split by grade and gender, led by an adult, and nurture an environment of biblical community with the goal of encountering Christ and His word, learning to practically apply it every day.

<h3>Current Service Opportunities</h3>
Greeter - Provides a welcoming atmosphere to reoccurring and new students each week inside the Student Building and in Legacy Park.
Check-In - Serve as a welcoming face to the ministry as you check-in students/volunteers during weekly services and special events, gathering the correct information needed for Wednesday Night services.

Admin Help - Help Student Ministry admins with general office work, event data entry, spreadsheet organization, birthday cards, follow-up, etc.
Events - Help with setting up, cleaning, preparing food, hospitality, decorating, construction, and any other behind the scene needs for events like Girls Summer Nights, Galentines, Kickoffs, and other day events. You can also steward, equip, and invest in the hearts and minds of students during camps, mission trips, Guys’ Weekend, and Girls’ weekend.
Wednesday Night Midweek Service Leader - Provide a way for LH Students to minister to every student who walks through our doors.


Wednesday Night Safety Team- Provide a safe environment for LH Students before and after student services. 

Wednesday Night Decision Counselors and Prayer Team - Provide students with a trusted adult who can walk them through spiritual decisions they want to make.

Worship Team - Serve as a musician or vocalist on the worship team.
Film/Photo Team - Capture film/photo content of Wednesday nights or events to share on social media.

Life Group Leader - Intentionally invest in the lives of students on Sunday mornings as they gather in community and learn to study Scripture and practice it in their lives. Gather together in community through Life Groups, but also teach students how to be obedient Christ followers.

 

Discipleship Group Leader - Intentionally invest in the lives of a group of 3-5 students by holding them accountable to weekly meetings, daily Bible reading and Scripture memory.
