Relationship Resources from the “Devoted” Series
As we explore God’s design for relationships and marriage in the “Devoted” series, we encourage all couples to take a close look at their relationships.
Maybe you want to date according to God’s guidelines. Maybe you’re engaged and want to build a solid foundation before the big day. Maybe you’re married and want to find new ways to love and serve your spouse. Whatever the stage of your relationship, we think you’ll find the tools below to be valuable as you consider God’s purposes for a life lived together.
Take the “Couple Checkup”
As part of the “Devoted” series, we’re excited to offer free access to the “Couple Checkup,” a thorough online assessment for all Long Hollow couples. Normally $35, this powerful tool generates a 15-20 page report and discussion guide that’s designed to stimulate honest dialog that will empower couples to understand each other better.
We hope this tool will be a blessing to you as you uncover your relationship’s strengths, and even identify issues that might hinder the future of your relationship if they’re not addressed together.
How to Take the Checkup
Click Create Account to create one account for you and your partner.
Once you’ve created an account, go ahead and complete the first Checkup.

After the account is created and the first Checkup is completed, the second person can then login to the account and complete their Checkup.
Once you have both completed the Checkup, log back in and you will see “View Your Couple Checkup Results.”
Click on “View Results” and you will be able to print out your assessment. This page also has links to go to the Church-Based Discussion Guide.
Book: Sacred Marriage
Happy is good. Holy is better.
Your marriage is more than a sacred covenant with another person. It is a spiritual discipline designed to help you know God better, trust him more fully, and love him more deeply. What if God’s primary intent for your marriage isn’t to make you happy… but holy?
Sacred Marriage doesn’t just offer techniques to make a marriage happier. It does contain practical tools, but what married Christians most need is help in becoming holier husbands and wives. Sacred Marriage offers that help with insights from Scripture, church history, time-tested wisdom from Christian classics, and examples from today’s marriages.
Book: When Sinners Say “I Do”
Marriage is the union of two people who arrive at the altar toting some surprisingly large luggage. Often it gets opened right there on the honeymoon, sometimes it waits for the week after. The Bible calls it sin and understanding its influence can make all the difference for a man and woman who are building a life together. When Sinners Say “I Do” is about encountering the life-transforming power of the gospel in the unpredictable journey of marriage.
Book: His Needs, Her Needs
In the classic bestseller His Needs, Her Needs, Willard F. Harley, Jr., identifies the ten most vital needs of men and women and shows husbands and wives how to satisfy those needs in their spouses. He provides guidance for becoming irresistible to your spouse and for loving more creatively and sensitively, thereby eliminating the problems that often lead to extramarital affairs.
Book: Love and Respect
Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and his wife, Sarah, have already taken the Love and Respect message across America and are changing the way couples talk to, think about, and treat each other. What do you want for your marriage? Want some peace? Want to feel close? Want to feel valued? Want to experience marriage the way God intended? Then why not try some Love and Respect.
