LH Kids Promotion Sunday is June 2

Promotion Sunday is June 2, which means all children in LH Kids classes will promote to the next age group. Here’s what your family can expect:

Current Preschoolers

During the month of May, we are giving our rising kindergartners tours of LH Kids elementary so they can familiarize themselves with the layout, classrooms, and large group spaces.

Beginning June 2, rising kindergartners will attend an LH Kids elementary class and participate in both large group and small group on a weekly basis. One of the biggest changes for rising kindergartners is that elementary classes do not provide snacks. Start preparing your little one now, because we know the love of goldfish is strong!

Upcoming Preschoolers

Infants and toddlers promote based on age and development throughout the year. Your child’s class may change on June 2.

Toddlers and two year old classes begin using LH Kids curriculum which means your child is learning God’s Word and being introduced to Scripture memory. This age group receives a snack, plays on the indoor playground, and continues to work on potty training.

3-5 year old children participate in small group and large group worship in Tree Hollow each week. Children continue to have an intentional Bible time, snack, and activities to reinforce God’s Word. Children in 3-5 year old classrooms are expected to be fully potty trained, but we recognize some children may take a little longer. Please contact LH Kids staff and let us know so we can work with your family to best meet your child’s needs.

Current Elementary Children

All elementary children participate in small group and large group on a weekly basis. Children are grouped together by grade: K/1st graders meet together, 2nd/3rd graders meet together, and 4th/5th graders meet together.

Elementary children are encouraged to bring their Bible to church each week. Elementary children will likely change classes on June 2 based on their grade.

Rising 6th Graders

Beginning June 2, rising 6th graders are invited to participate in Rising 6th grade summer life groups. More information about these groups will be available online shortly.
