The Middle East is composed of 60% desert centrally with the presence of the Euphrates River. In a population of over 22 million people, over 20 million are Muslim while 23,000 (0.1%) are evangelical Christians. This region is also located within the 10/40 Window- the rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia approximately between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. The 10/40 Window is often called “The Resistant Belt” and includes the majority of the world’s Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists.

In partnership with Reach the Rest, their workers in the Middle East have recently gained access to a closed country through the founding of an education center. This center offers learning programs that are useful to the community while also acting as a center for an evangelical church and discipleship training. Long Hollow supports and partner with this center in order to reach more Middle Easterners with the gospel. This team will spend time at the center building new relationships with locals, sharing the gospel, and encouraging and teaching the new believers. You will spend time learning about the culture and stories of how the gospel can go forth in a spiritually dark city.
