Dominican Republic – Student Mission Trip

The Dominican Republic is a popular tropical tourist destination most commonly known for its sandy beaches and natural beauty- but its people are lost and longing for the gospel. In a population of over 10 million, less than one million people on the island are evangelical Christians. Another alarming fact: over a third of the population living below the poverty level, many turn to trafficking themselves or their children. Through combining evangelism with development and education, children and families are being reached slowly but surely.

In partnership with Daystar Baptist Missions, specifically the DR Vision team in San Pedro, this group will take part in a holistic ministry model that seeks to make a reproducing impact for Christ across the DR and all of Latin America. The student team will work with the ministry in a variety of ways – prayer walking, helping at the local school Las Palmas, and working smaller projects that assist the church, vision land, or other ministries.
