Cumberland Crisis Pregnancy Center

cpcEstablished to support those experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, minister healing to those who have experienced abortion, and uphold their truth to the community through abstinence education. They provide free pregnancy tests, prenatal and parenting classes, maternity and baby items. Volunteer opportunities include cleaning, lawn maintenance, making donations and more.

Samaritan Center

hsaDesigned to help families get through a crisis that has disrupted their life-style and assisting them in becoming self-sufficient. Services the Center provide include: food from the Hendersonville Samaritan Food Bank, assistance with utility bills, rent and house payments, prescription cost, clothing and furniture from the Samaritan Thrift Store, and provide assistance to transients. Volunteer opportunities include helping meet general needs at the thrift store, and food delivery.

CWJC of Middle Tennessee

cwjcFormed to provide a faith based educational program and life changing community to individuals living on salaries below living wage. Salvus Center

salvusInspired by the Biblical mandate to care for the sick and the needy, a diverse group of Sumner County’s leading citizens came together in fall 2004 to found Salvus Center, a faith-based organization dedicated to providing healthcare for the working uninsured in Sumner County. Volunteer opportunities include part-time volunteer nurses, medical supply donation and more.

Nashville Rescue Mission

nrmSeeks to help the hurting of Middle Tennessee by offering food, clothing and shelter, and recovery programs to the homeless. Our goal is to help people know the saving grace of Jesus, and through Him, gain wisdom for living, find fulfillment in life and become a positive part of their community. Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes

tbchA ministry of the churches of the Tennessee Baptist Convention that provides residential care to children suffering from the pain and loneliness of a family in crisis. TBCH cares for approximately 200 of these children each year who find themselves without a place to call home due to family crisis. Volunteer opportunities include construction, lawn maintenance, donations and more.

Room in the Inn

roomHost the homeless at Long Hollow on Friday nights November to March. Emphasizing the scriptural ideals of love and community through service to the homeless, Room In The Inn provides people of Long Hollow an opportunity to respond directly to the broken and disenfranchised among us. Volunteer opportunities include laundry, construction, clean-up/tear-down and more.

The Bridge Ministry

bridgeA weekly outreach program to the homeless on Tuesday evenings under the Jefferson Street Bridge in downtown Nashville. While the praise team leads in worship, our team of volunteers serves a hot meal to our homeless friends. After the meal, a special guest speaker comes to bring the Word to our friends. At the end of the service, our volunteers distribute bags of groceries, toiletries, and new clothes to our guests.

Volunteer by arriving at The Bridge to the volunteer check-in station at 5:30. There is no need to call ahead.
