Long Hollow family,
Wow. What an incredible Easter weekend! As I told our staff earlier this week, we have a lot to be thankful for. God did an amazing work among us on Easter weekend.
Thousands of guests joined us for one of our Easter services. What’s worth celebrating are the astounding amount of decisions that were made for Christ. More than 230 people made spiritual decisions this weekend, with dozens of them surrendering their lives to Christ. We saw many who were far from God decide to come back. We witnessed couples on the brink of divorce experience miraculous reconciliation. We saw God breaking down the strongholds of addiction and hurt, restoring lives that some thought were irrevocably broken. God is so good!
Our Easter Offering is off to a strong start as well, with more than $680,000 given toward our $1,000,000 goal. I believe that God has a specific mission for this offering, and there’s still time to give to this important effort if you haven’t had a chance to participate already. Thank you so much for your generosity.
As you may have noticed, our new parking lot is now complete in Hendersonville, which means that our season of running buses to the Beech school parking lots has come to a close. If you attend our Hendersonville campus, you’ll notice a new traffic pattern in the coming weeks that makes it easier to find a spot and (most importantly) creates a special parking experience for our first time guests. Please leave the small parking lot in front of the roundabout open and consider parking somewhere less convenient to provide a great first-time experience for our guests. We’re also running new trams on a loop from the new parking lot. If you have young kids like we do, you’ll find that they will have a blast riding on them.
This weekend marks the beginning of an exciting new series in Acts called “Unleashed.” Extraordinary things happen when God’s Spirit moves through God’s people to build God’s kingdom. If you brought a friend with you on Easter, be sure to invite them to join us this weekend as well.
I look forward to worshiping alongside of you on Sunday. I’m so grateful to be your pastor. Great days are ahead!
