Groups for Rising 6th Graders Begin June 2

LH Kids Promotion Sunday is June 2, which means graduating 5th graders will begin meeting in the Student Building for rising 6th grade Life Groups. These groups will only be offered at the 9:30 a.m. service in Hendersonville, and the 9:45 a.m. service in Gallatin.

Students will no longer need to check in with LH Kids, and they will not receive a parent pick-up tag. You may drop off your child to the student building garage (Hendersonville) or to the Middle School Student Room in Gallatin. Students will be dismissed at 10:30 / 10:45 a.m.. We strongly recommend that you establish a specific location to meet your child after life group.

When does it start?

June 2

What are the dates for rising 6th grade life groups?

June 2 – July 28. Groups will not meet on June 16 due to Middle School Camp.

Do I need to register my student for the rising 6th grade groups?

No you do not need to register. Simply show up.

Will I still need to “check-in” my child to LH Kids?

No, you will no longer check-in your child nor receive a parent pick up tag. Your child is now considered part of the student ministry at Long Hollow and you will not be required to drop off or pick up you child in person like you did with LH Kids.

What will my child learn?

6th graders will go through the NT260 reading plan, learn how to study the Word of God for themselves, and hear from Student leaders and fellow students on pertinent topics.

Where do the groups meet?

Students will meet in the Student Building Garage in the Hendersonville campus and in the Middle School Student Room at the Gallatin Campus.

What if we attend a different service time?

Rising 6th grade groups will only be offered at the 9:30 / 9:45 am service. If your family attends a different service time, we encourage your student to sit with you in the worship service.

What happens when the life groups end on July 28?

LH Students launches new year-long life groups the first week of August. Your student will be invited to a middle school life group.

What does my student need to bring?

Your student should bring a Bible every week.
