Christian Cid, MMFT

Christian Cid received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. Christian has over nine years of experience in social services, community mental health, outpatient services, inpatient services, adolescent counseling, marital counseling, and family counseling. She is a TSC, Rule 31 Family Mediator offering family and divorce mediation services.

Christian is currently President and CEO of Serenity Counseling in Hendersonville, TN.

Christian has been married for seven years and is the mother of two daughters.


Ralph Cook, LMFT

Ralph Cook received his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN and has been counseling in the Middle Tennessee area since 2004. Prior to becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist, Ralph was an elementary school music teacher in Wilson County. He has also served in churches as a minister of music and youth, both full-time and part-time.

Ralph and his wife, Joni are the founders of Lantern Lane Farm in Mt. Juliet, TN. Lantern Lane Farm offers counseling and ministry in a unique countryside setting, often incorporating horses in the therapeutic process and in learning experiences. Ralph works with children, teens and adults.

Ralph and Joni have two grown sons and three grandchildren.


Barbara Cornick, Office Manager


Barbara has worked for CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) for 15 years in various jobs including phone counselor, researcher, and television producer. She moved to Nashville from Virginia Beach nearly six years ago.

Barbara is currently earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Lipscomb University in Nashville and hopes to earn a master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work in the future. She plans to one day work as a counselor, social worker or a combination of the two.




Christy Perry

Christy received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. Prior to entering the field of counseling, Christy worked in the non-profit arena and in medical equipment sales.

With an innate, understanding character and passion for helping others, she believes in the philosophy that relationships are at the core of the human experience.  Navigating complex relationships and deeper underlying emotions can be challenging to say the least.  Christy is committed to helping her clients through this journey.

 Christy is a native Tennessean and lives in Gallatin with her husband.

Alyssa Ritchason

Alyssa Ritchason received her master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in May of 2014. After interning at LifeWORKS for almost a year, Alyssa joined our team of counseling professionals. Alyssa primarily works with individuals and couples, specializing in the areas of grief, codependency/performance orientation, depression, anxiety, life transitions, pre-marital, and couple’s crisis counseling. Alyssa is passionate about seeing God restore hope and heal relationships.

Alyssa has been married to her husband Brandon for almost five years. Running is her hobby, and biblical literacy is her passion.

Keith Tenpenny

Keith is from Nashville and received his Masters of Arts in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida in 2001. After finishing his Masters of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville he went back to school at Trevecca Nazarene University to pursue Marriage and Family licensure. He has served in Youth and Family ministry as well as Pastoral Counseling in the church for years. He has also had training in Life Coaching, experiential and psychodrama counseling, as well as various modes of trauma work.

Keith’s passion is working with individuals and couples who get tripped up by the present effects of past relational trauma in their lives. His therapeutic focus includes: anxiety, depression, emotional regulation/sobriety, couples work (pre-engagement, premarital, couples and marriage), recovery work (post-sobriety), trauma, communication/intimacy skills, self-care, anger management, codependency, and more. He is skilled at helping people learn strategies and corrective experiences to have emotional sobriety and relational connection.

Keith has been married for 19 years and they have five children. He likes to read, watch movies, football, and HGTV with his family, exercise, and have dates with his wife.

Michelle Tyson

Michelle Tyson earned her Master of Arts in mental health counseling from Argosy University. She is currently under licensure supervision. She has a diverse background in community mental health and specializes in addictions. She also holds a full-time position as the primary counselor for youth in a Cumberland Heights outpatient program in Sumner County. She also worked several years with court-mandated clients.

She focuses on strengths for solution-focused therapies as well as longer relationships in the person-centered approach. She works with couples, youth, and individuals who need help with many of life’s struggles.

She is engaged and has a rescue fur baby named Charlotte. In her free time, she loves gardening, traveling, and being with friends.

Roger DeWilde

Roger De Wilde received his Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling with a Clinical Mental Health emphasis from Lindsey Wilson College in December of 2015. He joined our team of professional counselors after interning for a year at LifeWorks. During his internship, Roger gained experience working in the areas of anger, depression, anxiety, pre-marital, marital, teens, life-adjustments, grief, and mental disorders.
Roger has been divorced with a daughter and son that are now grown. He is remarried to his wife Jamie for almost 7 years and both share an appreciation for the struggles that stepfamilies face.
