Communication Project Specialist

The Project Specialist is a vital member of the Communication Team that coordinates projects between the Creative Team and all other ministry areas.

By working alongside of the Design, Story, and Film teams, the Project Specialist ensures that upcoming events, ministries, and programs receive the creative assets they need in an orderly and efficient fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate regular communication projects, helping ministry areas clarify their needs and removing roadblocks for designers.
  • Coordinate regular film projects, helping ministry areas clarify their vision and removing roadblocks for the Film Team.
  • Assist in the maintenance of our project management and work request systems to prioritize projects and keep clients informed of project progress.
  • Anticipate upcoming events/seasons to help craft communication plans from a proactive perspective.
  • Assist ministry teams in the creation of online event registration forms.
  • Occasional copy and script writing for various videos, promotional materials, website content, and other initiatives.
  • Help maintain the integrity of our content and messaging with an eye for detail and a constant search for outdated materials and misinformation.
  • Maintain relationships and place orders with representatives from local printing companies and other vendors.

Required Traits and Skills

  • A vibrant relationship with Christ and desire to reach the world with the hope of the Gospel.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Careful attention to proper grammar and the English language.
  • An outgoing personality that thrives on working with others and enjoys working in a loud, fun environment.
  • Familiarity with Macs and MacOS.
  • Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud products is a bonus.
  • Working knowledge of Basecamp is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Wufoo is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Mail Chimp is a plus.

The Project Specialist is a member of the Communication Team (a division of the Creative Arts Team) and reports directly to the Communication Manager.

Communication Design Specialist

Are you passionate about effective branding? Do you have a drive for creative excellence and an obsessive attention to detail? You might be our next Communication Design Specialist!

As a full-time member of Long Hollow’s Communication Team, you’ll put your design skills in action in a role within our design division. As part of our team, you’ll help various ministry teams design communication pieces, develop various art and assets for upcoming projects, and contribute to creative projects using various mediums throughout the year.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop assets to assist in proclaiming the Gospel during weekend services.
  • Design assets for ministry teams, including artwork for teaching series, events, and programs.
  • Regularly develop assets for social media such as Instagram images, visual promotions for events, and more.
  • Assist in publication design for promotional booklets, guides, and other print projects.
  • Assist with design elements and strategy for branding physical spaces and campuses.
  • Find creative ways to animate design assets for looping videos, animated gifs, and other mediums.
  • Help protect the Long Hollow brand and church branding strategy across various mediums.

Required Traits and Skills:

  • Comfortable with Macs and MacOS.
  • Experience with animation and video editing theory and programs is a huge plus.
  • Proficiency with photography and photo editing is a plus.

Film Specialist

We are seeking applicants for a Film Specialist position. Key responsibilities will include producing, shooting, directing, and editing videos for our Sunday services and ministry departments. The type of videos you’ll create will range from event promos, story pieces, cinematic bumpers, documentaries, music videos, short films and more.

The successful applicant must have the following skills and requirements:

  • Is a Christ follower and has a growing relationship with Christ.
  • Passionate about the art and craft of film and storytelling.
  • Experience in filmmaking, including lighting, lensing, shot composition, direction of talent, and audio production.
  • Working knowledge of current (Canon, RED, Sony, Blackmagic, etc.) camera technologies.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Must have an eye for detail

The Film Specialist is a member of the Film Team (a division of the Creative Arts Team), and reports directly to the Film Manager. This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits. We’re considering on-site candidates only.

Housekeeping Team Member

We are seeking a person to join our Housekeeping Team. Duties will include: Picking up trash bags from trash cans in our buildings and transporting to a vehicle for disposal in our bins. This will be an afternoon, or night, position, 5 days a week, with some time needed occasionally on weekends; approximately 20-25 hours per week. This is a part-time position, with no paid holidays or benefits.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Is a Christ follower with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Savior
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Responsible; can commit to the hours and time frame
  • Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
  • Ability to work at nights, without fear of being alone in a building
